From January 2010, the ESKI participates in the EUnetHTA program.
The aim of the program is to introduce and put into practice an effective and sustainable collaboration on health technology assessment (HTA) in Europe that brings added value on European, national and regional level. The project is realised in the form of a Joint Action of the European Commission and the member states, with the support of the Public Health Program.
33 HTA agencies and research institutes participate in the European network, representing 23 EU and 1 EEA/EFTA countries. The lead partner is the Danish Centre for HTA (DACEHTA). Besides ESKI, the other partner representing Hungary is EMKI (Institute for Healthcare Quality Improvement and Hospital Engineering).
ESKI especially contributes to the Relative Effectiveness of Pharmaceuticals and the development of Information Management Systems workpackages.
